2018 Virginia Emergency Management Symposium

The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium is an annual event that is co-sponsored by the Virginia Emergency Management Association and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. The Symposium provides a forum to discuss current trends and topics and share information about the latest tools and technology in emergency management and homeland security. Sessions encourage stakeholders at all levels of government, the private sector, public health and related professions to exchange ideas and collaborate to protect lives and property from disaster. 

Call for Speakers: Planning for the VEMS 2018 program is already under way! This year's theme is "Link to the Past: Bridge to the Future" and will be held March 20-23 at the Omni Homestead. The Call for Speakers is currently ongoing and are DUE by July 15th. We hope to see you at the VEMS 2018 in Hot Springs. Please click here for the form.  

Symposium Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Written cancellations can be emailed to thevemaoffice@gmail.com or mailed to VEMA, 4461 Cox Road, Suite 110, Glen Allen, VA  23060. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. Refunds of conference registrations fees will be paid minus a $25 administration fee. Full registration fees will be charged if written cancellation is not received by close of business on Monday, March 5, 2018.
