The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium is an annual event that is co-sponsored by the Virginia Emergency Management Association and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. The Symposium provides a forum to discuss current trends and topics and share information about the latest tools and technology in emergency management and homeland security. Sessions encourage stakeholders at all levels of government, the private sector, public health and related professions to exchange ideas and collaborate to protect lives and property from disaster.

Lodging Information: The VEMS government per diem rate is $130.00*. The deadline for reservations was Monday, February 27th at 5pm EST, so the discounted rate may not be available. Reservations can be made by contacting the Williamsburg Lodge at 800-261-9530 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday (mention VEMA).
*All rates are subject to 11% state and local taxes, and $2 per room per night occupancy tax. All individual reservations must be accompanied by one night's deposit for room and tax. Individual deposits are refundable, provided notice of cancellation is received by the Williamsburg Lodge by 5:00 pm EST at least three (3) business days prior to reserved date of arrival.
Registration includes Vendor Hall Reception on Tuesday, Breakfast, Morning Refreshment Break, Lunch, and Afternoon Beverage Break on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as Breakfast and Morning Refreshment Break on Friday morning.

Symposium Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Written cancellations can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to VEMA, 4461 Cox Road, Suite 110, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. Refunds of conference registrations fees will be paid minus a $25 administration fee. Full registration fees will be charged if written cancellation is not received by close of business on Monday, March 6, 2017.
